Don't overthink it. Get them transplanted because with autos you don't have much time to begin with.

I don't know if this will help at all but on my first grow I developed a bud rot. I cut it out and discarded it, some of the buds I literally cut in half and save the half that didn't look like it had any mold on it. I've been smoking it ever since and I've had no ill effects.
