I think you should start designing around what kind of light you can afford - likely LED as the way to go with electricity concern. E.g. if you can have something that will properly light a 4x4 tent you are looking at a larger upfront cost - I use an HLG 550 but you can get similar for cheaper...

Team HLG here and very happy but I haven’t tried a lot of others. I have their 550 rspec in a 4x4 for flower and I have a 2x2 with their 4k 65 watt panel. I tried their 100 watt in the same but it was way too bright and the 100 doesn’t have a dimmable driver. 65 is working like a champ.

Will do @Cannagrammy - I’m working with some less common NLD Sativa types this fall and winter and want to preserve some of the lines and make some crosses as well. I’ll post for sure, probably in my grow log thread

Sounds like you are on the right track for determining finishing time. I agree with the above on watering, I’ve chopped them both with wet pots and dry pots and didn’t really notice a difference in drying time, finished nugs etc... Healthy and fully ripe are more than enough to keep an eye on
