Hey MP, New Indoor Grower Here

Hey Necro, thank you. Here's what I use: 1) Stonington Platinum Grower's Mix 2) Organic Plant Food (pelletized) 3) Fish Bone Meal 4) Castings 5) Squid concentrate (liquid) CoM publishes a single sheet that advises how long the soil will provide the nutes in various pot sizes and instructs how...

Comparing my first grow to this years grow

Fantastic! I'm limited to a 3x3 tent in a 10 gallon pot, but I'm growing organically in primo living soil, so I attached a few pics. Colas are softball sized and sticky and stinky as heck. Looking like a pound + I hope. Enjoy that plant!!!!

    Friggin' Pistils!

Hey Big...you were so right - the calyxes started to swell and I can begin to see pistil browning and the micro-buds. This pheno's flowers look like they're woven and Larfy compared to another hybrid I grew, yet they're changing now to more of what I recognize. Just needs more time.

    Friggin' Pistils!

Watching closely for those nanners, thanks. I actually got so paranoid yesterday, I removed a cola, thinking it had the start of bud rot. After an extensive autopsy, it was nothing, just a color change...what an *****! All the triches are milky so I hung it up to dry.... I'm sure it'll be...

    Friggin' Pistils!

Skywalker OG in flower for a full 8 weeks as of this coming Friday and yet those pistils are still growing instead of laying down and turning brown. I think she's got 2+ weeks left. The colas are definitely fattening up and she's getting very resinous and sticky. Time can't move fast enough -...

How do you track/log your grows?

I use the phone app Jane to log my data. It stores my pix, calculates my days and generally speaking, it's easy to use. Now that I'm growing organically, I still log each grow, but mostly with pix.

They are...I had some fungus gnat issues 2 grows ago that got out of control thanks to my bumbling. Those *******s were feasting on my roots and I didn't act qickly enough. Bought some Neem Cake and cleared it up with that. Now, I never grow without adding a little cake to the topsoil. Never...

I now understand your goals and they make perfect sense. If you do decide to make a move to grow indoors, my advice would be to "use organic living soil" as that is the easiest way to grow - just add water and occasionally amend the topsoil with organic nutes. Anyone here would be happy to...

Comparing my first grow to this years grow

WoW....thats a grower's dream and it perfectly illustrates the difference between outdoor and indoor grows and the fact that the rotation of the earth will provide the plant with the perfect type and amount of light. Freakin gorgeous! What's the yield on something like that? 3, 4 lbs?.....more?

Hey Bob...I believe raised bed soil is engineered to withstand droughts, so as someone noted earlier, it compacts. You need to manage that fact with how you water. Why not add a good chitin-rich compost to the raised bed topsoil just like a normal organic amendment? Check out Coast of Maine's...
