How long should I put the plants in the dark before I begin the flowering cycle? They've been under fluoros/daylight 24 hrs, and now I'm ready to begin the hps treatment...

Yea they look pretty damn close.. Yours appear to be more brownish circles with spacing inbetween.. Either way, maybe I will stop my fluoros now and head into flowering with the hps.. Thanks again, hopefully they'll be better soon.. Did your marks go away after you fixed your light problem?

That look exactly what is happening to mine.. Only one maybe 2 leaves outta the whole plant.. And only 2-3 plants out of 7.. I'm trying to figure it out as well.. Hopefully we will both get some answers.. Just out of curiosity, how long are you into flowering?

I just did a soil test on one of the plants and it came out to being under the neutral level but doesnt match exactly up with the acid reading of 6.0, so I am guessing its somewhere between them.. I am going to pick up a water tester on my my back out, is there a special to test it, or just...

Sorry. Ok just checked my calendar and I have had them since about the 19th of Jan.. They were given to me already sprouted.. I have began lst on a couple of them to test it out.. Will be going out to get a pH tester right now.. Should I also get pH Up and Down liquids in case this is the problem?

So I have a handful of plants going in the closet right now.. They are probably closing in on 4-5" tall.. I have a couple of them in 2 gallon grow bags and the rest in 6" diameter pots.. My question is, if height is an issue, would not switching these plants to bigger containers be a better...

When I do switch should I continue to run the HPS 24hrs, or more of a 18/6 or 20/4.. Does it matter? And should I keep my hps light as far away as possible from the plants cause of the heat? Or within a certain distance?

I just was given some plants, 6 of which all have sprouted. The biggest is about 2-3" and has great looking leaves already. I do not know what they are, but as of last night I jerry-rigged my closet to get me through the day so I can go get the proper supplies.. They are currently under 6, 32-34...

Anyone recommend good soils to begin with? And some to grow the plants in? I know it depends on ph and nutrients, but any brands that some have had better experience with than others? And what about ferts?
